Speakers

Because this is an excellent opportunity to present and gain national visibility for future speaking engagements, NASSP does not cover any expenses associated with speaker participants in the Speakers Showcase.

One of the exciting features of the NASC National Conference is the Speakers Showcase. The showcase is an opportunity for attendees to preview outstanding speakers and trainers that address issues specific to middle level and high school students. This is an excellent forum in which to present and gain national visibility for future speaking opportunities throughout the country.

The goal of the Speakers Showcase is for conference attendees to:

  • Take recommendations of speakers they have heard back to their home states and schools for consideration at future events
  • Hear a speaker that delivers a program/message that makes a positive impact on them, something they can take back and use immediately.

In addition to student delegates and advisers, conference attendees will include state executive directors of state student council associations, many of whom will be looking for potential speakers for their state conferences.

Showcase Details

The showcase will take place on Sunday, June 23 at the conference venue (Sunrise Mountain High School). The session times are 60 minutes each for two back-to-back sessions of two different groups of students and advisers for a total of 120 minutes. Speakers must refrain from overtly promoting any products or publications during the presentation. However, information on promotional products and/or materials may be provided at the end of the presentation.
