Dates to Remember

Here are some important dates to keep in mind when preparing for your trip to the NASC National Conference:

Hotel Rooming List Form

Submit by May 31, 2013

Credit Card Authorization Form

If you are paying for your hotel rooms by credit card, please submit this form to the hotel by May 31, 2013.

Delegate Bus Request Form*

If coming with your state delegation your state director will complete this form. For any advisers who are not part of a state delegation you will need to submit this form. Anyone who does not complete and submit the form by the deadline will not be able to participate in the bus transportation service on Monday, June 24. Submit by May 31, 2013.

Thank you for registering for the NASC National Conference! Please review the documents listed below, making sure to complete all the requested forms. By reviewing and completing these documents before arriving in Las Vegas, you are helping to ensure that on-site registration and hotel check-in for the 2013 NASC National Conference goes smoothly.

  • Take recommendations of speakers they have heard back to their home states and schools for consideration at future events
  • Hear a speaker that delivers a program/message that makes a positive impact on them, something they can take back and use immediately.

Forms to Complete and Submit Online

Please ensure that you, as the adviser, have received the required completed forms and have made a duplicate for your personal conference travel file prior to your departure. Please ensure that your student’s form(s) contain the necessary parent or guardian signatures.

Please review the following forms before you arrive in Las Vegas.

  • Sample Medical Permission Form
    This form is a sample medical form and is not collected at the conference. Each attendee is required to have a medical permission form on their person at all times throughout the conference. District and/or school medical permission forms are acceptable.

Please review and complete the forms listed below by the requested date.

Delegate Bus Request Form*

Saturday arrival, Monday Departure & daily conference transportation: If you are coming with your state delegation, your state director will complete this online form. For any advisers who are not part of a state delegation, you will need to submit this form for yourself and any students for whom you are responsible. Anyone who does not complete and submit the form by the deadline will not be able to participate in the bus transportation service on Monday, June 24. The form must be submitted by May 31, 2013.

*Groups and/or state delegations are required to complete this form even if you do not plan on using the bus transportation during the conference.

Pre- and Post-Conference Bus Transportation

If your travel plans include sightseeing before or after the conference, Clark County School District is offering bus rentals for a fee. If you are in need of pre- and/or post-conference bus transportation, please complete the online form.

Driving Directions

Advisers if you plan on driving throughout the event, please download these directions.

Other important items to review before arriving in Las Vegas include the updated schedule; the list of adviser seminars and student seminars and workshops; the list of presenters at the Speakers Showcase; hotel and transportation information; and discount tickets for Blue Man Group.


T-shirt day: Each day of the conference is a designated t-shirt day. Saturday and Sunday are State T-shirt Days, and Monday is Conference T-shirt Day (t-shirt will be provided during the conference). Delegates are welcome to trade their t-shirts during the designated time on Monday, June 24 (optional activity).

Pins: Some delegates/groups have expressed an interest in trading pins that represent their home state. Delegates are responsible for bringing their own pins and are welcome to participate in this activity throughout the conference.

Reminders

The meals covered by your registration fee include breakfast, lunch, and dinner on Saturday and Sunday, as well as breakfast and lunch on Monday. Breakfast will be served at the school each morning.

The hotels are located on the strip, which is accessible to restaurants, shopping and shows.
